The Minaret of the Umayyad Mosque known as "The Bride" because of its beauty taken from inside the courtyard.

This minaret was the first minaret built in Islam which developed the custom after entering Damascus and finding tall church spires including this one at the churh of St. John the Baptist which was converted into the mosque.
